The Tuft & Needle Original mattress is medium-firm in feel. It was designed to be universally comfortable and moderately firm, in order to benefit all different types of sleepers regardless of factors such as age, height, weight, or the way you sleep. The Casper Original is good for sleepers of all kinds who want both support and cooling. Three layers of construction:

The Tuft & Needle Original is a 2-layer mattress:

• 3" T&N Adaptive foam
• 6.5" polyurethane base foam.

Casper mattresses are specifically designed to sleep cool. We put a lot of R&D into how Casper mattresses perform throughout the night - like running thermal imaging tests and sweat tests. Our mattresses use a breathable comfort foam to offset the memory foam layered beneath it. This construction helps keep things nice and breezy and outrageously comfortable. Plus every mattress saves up to 57 recycled bottles from the environment.

The heat-wicking graphite and cooling gel in the T&N Adaptive® foam work together to help keep you cool while you sleep. This mattress is designed to pull your body heat away while remaining cozy and comfy.

The durable base is engineered to prevent sinking and sagging while supporting your whole body.

T&N Adaptive® foam, which is unique to Tuft & Needle, provides great pressure relief and support and is comfortable for all sleep styles.

A top layer of proprietary perforated breathable foam helps reduce heat, the tiny holes move hot air and body heat away. This innovative cooling system is designed to help keep you cool all night.

The addition of heat-absorbing graphite is designed to conduct heat through the bed, away from you.
Cooling gel beads help wick away heat. When you lay down, the cooling beads create additional support for optimal comfort.
Long-lasting, open-cell foam creates a breathable foundation.

Premium AirScape™ foam conforms to your body to relieve pressure.
Memory foam with 3 areas of Zoned Support™ help align your spine and relieve pressure. Softer under shoulders and firmer around the hips, waist and lower back.

T&N Adaptive® Foam was invented by T&N alongside top American chemists, this foam is durable, breathable, and the perfect balance of flexible support. Engineered based on customer feedback, it provides pressure relief where you need it most.

The Tuft & Needle mattress cover is made with a blend of micro polyamide and polyester. It has a soft and plush feel. Micro polyamide is breathable and durable. It keeps you cool and dries up to 8 times faster than cotton. The mattress cover is resistant to pilling and tearing. The Original mattress cover is not waterproof or removable/washable, so if there are any concerns, we'd recommend using a mattress protector.
