Petite customers (115-pounds or less) tend to prefer The Purple Premier, as their pressure points are better cradled due to a thicker Purple Grid. Similarly, customers who weigh 250-pounds or more have expressed a common interest in The Purple Premier, as it offers a bit more support.

The Tuft & Needle Original mattress is medium-firm in feel. It was designed to be universally comfortable and moderately firm, in order to benefit all different types of sleepers regardless of factors such as age, height, weight, or the way you sleep. The Purple Premier 4 is made with ultra-high-quality materials engineered for the perfect synergy of durability, luxury, and No Pressure Support:

• 4" Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ material in Puple Grid™. Non-toxic polyethylene copolymer powder coating
• 1" High-density cushioning foam help the transition between layers for optimal comfort
• 7.5" Responsive Support Coils. The gauge of the coils are 13.75 and use 95% recycled steel.

The key difference between the Hybrid, Premier 3 and Premier 4 is the depth of the Puple Grid™ layer - either 2, 3 or 4 inches. This changes the overall firmness and feel. The Purple Premier™ 4 is perfect for sleepers who crave even more of that dreamy "floating" effect.

The Tuft & Needle Original is a 2-layer mattress:

When it comes to our signature Purple Grid™, the thicker the gel grid, the less pressure you'll feel. The hyper-elastic polymer gel Grid immediately flexes to support your position and springs back into place as you readjust or move.
The Purple Grid™ is designed to dynamically flex under pressure so it cradles pressure points like your hips and shoulders while still supporting the rest of your body.
A border using high density foam creates reinforced edge support.

T&N Adaptive® foam, which is unique to Tuft & Needle, provides great pressure relief and support and is comfortable for all sleep styles.

The addition of heat-absorbing graphite is designed to conduct heat through the bed, away from you.

The Purple Grid™ is a flexible gel material that instantly adapts to your body and sleep position, providing soft support where you want it and firm support where you need it. This material is organized in a grid formation, which creates walls that can support or fold, depending on how much pressure it receives. It's durable enough to last decades so you won't develop a body impression. And it buckles under specific pressure, which provides excellent motion isolation so you don't feel someone else move in the bed.

T&N Adaptive® Foam was invented by T&N alongside top American chemists, this foam is durable, breathable, and the perfect balance of flexible support. Engineered based on customer feedback, it provides pressure relief where you need it most.

StretchMax Cover
Boasting even more stretch, the soft top material allows you to feel the full benefits of the Purple Grid™, while ultra-breathable woven side panels encourage airflow.

The Tuft & Needle mattress cover is made with a blend of micro polyamide and polyester. It has a soft and plush feel. Micro polyamide is breathable and durable. It keeps you cool and dries up to 8 times faster than cotton. The mattress cover is resistant to pilling and tearing. The Original mattress cover is not waterproof or removable/washable, so if there are any concerns, we'd recommend using a mattress protector.

Our products come to you in 3-5 business days via shipping courier for small parcels (such as pillows and sheets) and various larger parcels like a mattress in a box. Larger parcels (such as mattresses, beds, etc.) are delivered via our own White Glove Delivery. Although we cannot ship to P.O boxes, our White Glove Delivery can even deliver on weekends by request.

All products include free shipping (additional fees may apply in remote postal codes). Mattresses are sent directly to your doorstep compressed, vacuum-sealed, and packed in a conveniently-sized box. Typically shipped within 1 to 7 business days.
